Double Barr Cottages
Welcome to the iconic Double Barr Cottages! Double Barr has been a favorite of Port A visitors for generations and is perfect for a quick beach getaway, a fishing trip, or family fun. Located just a couple of blocks from the beach in the "golf cart zone", you can walk, bike, or take a cart to the beach, fishing, or the many shops, restaurants, and other attractions downtown.
The property has free parking, outdoor dining areas, and gas BBQ grills.
An on-site laundry is available for a small fee.

Cottage #1, #6, #11, #12 are deluxe 2 bedroom, 1 bath cottages with a dining table, a full kitchen, a small living area with a futon couch where a couple of kids can sleep, and a full bath with walk-in shower.
We provide linens, soaps and shampoos, and paper products. Please bring your own beach towels.
These Beachy Cottage are perfect for an affordable beach vacation and can sleep 6 adults on 4 beds.
The first bedroom has a queen bed and set of bunk beds. The other bedroom has a queen bed. Both bedrooms have cable television and wireless internet.
There is parking for two compact vehicles in front of the cottage. If you have a full size SUV or truck, only 1 vehicle will fit. Overflow parking is available on a first come basis for oversize vehicles, boat trailers, or extra vehicles. Please inquire about availability of additional parking.
These cottages have window air-conditioning units to keep you cool in the summer and gas heat for cooler days. Guests can use several outdoor picnic areas and gas BBQ grills.
The guest laundry with 2 sets of washer/dryers is available for an additional fee.
Double Barr Cottages is dog-friendly subject to weight and breed limitations. We welcome well-behaved, adult dogs and ask that you clean up after them outside and kennel them if left alone in the cabin. There is a pet cleaning fee of $50 per pet per stay. If you plan on bringing a dog, please let us know the weight and breed so we can pre-approve their stay with you.

Cottage #2, #3, #4, are standard 2 bedrooms, 1 bath cozy cottages with a slightly smaller living area than our deluxe cottages. It is just large enough for a dining table, a full kitchen, and a full bath with walk-in shower. This little house can sleep 6 adults with 4 beds.
The first bedroom has a full bed and set of bunk beds. The second bedroom has a queen bed.
There is parking for one vehicle next to the cottage. There is overflow parking available for oversize vehicles, boat trailers, or extra vehicles. Please inquire about availability of additional parking.

Cottage #5, #9, #10, are deluxe 1 bedrooms, 1 bath cozy cottages with a newly renovated large living area.
These 1 bedrooms now have a separate living area with a sleeper sofa, a coffee table, and additional seating to give you a place to relax and catch a movie after a day at the beach. The couch folds out into a full sized bed to sleep 2 small adults or children.
The bedroom is next to the living area and sleeps four guests with a queen bed and a set of bunk beds. Next to the bedroom is the full bath with walk-in shower. Towels, linens, and basic soaps are provided.

The kitchen features a and a dining area that seats four. It has a retro vibe that will take you back to the Port A's historic past. The kitchen includes a refrigerator/freezer, gas stove, microwave, a coffee station, and all of the kitchen basics. While we supply pots, pans, dishes and utensils, we do not supply any reusable basics such a oil, spices, or condiments for safety concerns.

Cottage #7 (Sail Away) has been recently updated with a new configuration, and new furnishings. A private fenced yard will be available this Spring and will be a great addition for dog lovers. You will enter into the new separate living area with a sleeper sofa, a coffee table, and additional seating to give you a place to relax and catch a movie after a day at the beach. Whether you're in town for a weekend or several weeks, the living room gives you a comfortable space to watch television, play a game, or read. The couch folds out into a full sized bed to sleep 2 small adults or children.
